Physio Pre and PostNatal

Pre and Postnatal classes have been developed and will be run by our Southern Coast Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team. Exercise is important for women during pregnancy and after the birth of your child. This class focuses on the core, posture, mobility and strengthens all the key muscles that support the spine and pelvis including the pelvic floor muscles. Ladies will need a pre class assessment with one of our pelvic health physiotherapists and those who are pregnant will need clearance from their pregnancy health care provider.

Class numbers are limited to 6.

PhysioCore

PhysioCore classes have been developed and will be run by our Southern Coast Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team. This class focuses on foundations such as breathing, posture improvement and core control. We also work on movement, functional strength and stability to optimise your health, fitness and performance.

This class may also be appropriate for those looking to return to exercise, recovering from injury or surgery, or wanting to improve their core strength, posture and conditioning in a supportive environment.

Those wishing to attend will need a pre-class assessment with one of our physiotherapists.

Class numbers are limited to 6.

PhysioRehab

PhysioRehab is a physio-led class, where each participant performs their own tailored, individualised program. The class is a great mix of Pilates- informed, reformer-based exercise. It will also include functional exercises designed to suit your individual needs and health and performance  goals.  It is appropriate for those recovering from an injury, recurrent back or neck pain, or anyone looking to simply get fit, strong and active in a supportive, safe and fun environment.

The aim of this class is to optimise your posture and movement, and ultimately enhance your health, fitness and performance.

To allow the physiotherapist to design and implement your individualised program, you will need to have an assessment and undertake a minimum of 2 x 1:1 sessions prior to joining the class.

Class numbers are limited to 4.

PhysioOA

PhysioOA is our 6 week, hip and knee osteoarthritis program. Exercise and education are the best first line treatment for osteoarthritis, and these classes are designed and led by physiotherapists with the knowledge to help reduce your symptoms with exercise.

The class is based on 12 exercise sessions and one education session, over 6 weeks (i.e.2 exercise classes per week), with a physiotherapist present to tailor and progress your program.

This class is also appropriate for those recovering from a joint replacement, or any other hip, knee or ankle injury or surgery.

To assess your readiness for exercise and current level of pain and function, you will be required to attend an assessment with a physiotherapist, before joining the class.

Class numbers are limited to 6.

PhysioStrong

PhysioStrong is our physiotherapist designed and led, general exercise program.  This safe, fun and supportive class is suitable for those looking to improve their balance, upper and lower body strength, bone density and to reduce their falls risk.

The class includes weight-bearing and resistance exercise, as well as balance and falls prevention exercises, all with the goal of enhancing your health, fitness and performance.

To assess your readiness for exercise and current level of health and  function, you will be required to attend an assessment with a physiotherapist, before joining the class.

Class numbers are limited to 8.
